"These enabling works are the start of the construction
process," says Foodstuffs (Auckland) General Manager - Property
Strategy, Angela Bull.
Ms Bull says the works involve pre-loading the area of the site
where the supermarkets is going to be built.
"This preliminary work is necessary before we can start
construction of the store itself. The resource consent for
the PAK'nSAVE is currently being processed by the Waipa District
Council and we expect that this will be granted shortly.
Subject to finalising some details with the Council we expect to
have construction of this PAK'nSAVE underway in the near
future."
