Foodstuffs North Island announces Support Office relocation

Foodstuffs North Island has announced today its intent to relocate its Support Centre staff from the current Silverstream offices.

Foodstuffs North Island has announced today its intent to relocate its Support Centre staff from the current Silverstream offices.

Angela Bull, General Manager Property Development Foodstuffs North Island says, “This is an exciting opportunity. The current offices, which have been in use since the 1970’s, have served us well over the years but it is now time to find a place that’s fit for our purposes beyond 2014.

“More specifically we want to find a place that encourages new ways of working collaboratively. This means we need to create more open meeting areas where Support Centre Staff and Owner Operators can gather to share ideas.  We also need flexible work spaces that allow project teams to come together. And most importantly we require great facilities for our people and a location well positioned for public transport,” continues Bull.

The move will take twelve months to complete and while the exact location of the new premises are yet to be confirmed, Foodstuffs can confirm it will remain in the Wellington area. An initial review of properties in the Silverstream area suggests there aren’t suitable premises in that location, but equally a move to the Wellington CBD is unlikely due to specific building and environment requirements. Other infrastructure at the Silverstream location, including some transport and bottling operations, will form part of a future review.

“The opportunity now is to find a new home that’s right for our people, right for our business and will provide the membership with the support to be successful well into the future,” concludes Bull.
