Foodstuffs North Island Weather Update: 22 January 2026

Following the severe weather experienced across parts of the North Island, here is an update about our PAK’nSAVE, New World and Four Square supermarkets and our supply chain operations across the North Island. Our thoughts are with all the families and communities affected and our stores are doing all they can to provide support.

All our locally owned and operated stores are currently open.

Our teams are busy managing some transport challenges due to flooding and road closures in affected areas. To keep supplies moving where possible:

• Northland deliveries have been re-routed to avoid closed or unsafe roads.
• We’re currently delayed on deliveries to Tokoroa, Waihi, Waihi Beach and Katikati. Some deliveries to stores in the Coromandel are also impacted.
• We’re working closely with local authorities and monitoring conditions as the morning progresses.

A huge thank you to our drivers and distribution centre teams for their efforts in challenging conditions, and we also want to acknowledge the civil roading contractors responding on the ground to safely reopen roads.

We are actively monitoring conditions to ensure our supermarkets continue operating and will provide further updates if conditions change.
