New World Wins Roy Morgan 2025 Customer Satisfaction Award: Supermarket of the Year

New World has been named Supermarket of the Year in the 2025 Roy Morgan New Zealand Customer Satisfaction Awards, recognising the brand for its outstanding service, quality products, and commitment to Kiwi communities. 

New World has been leading consumer satisfaction since September 2022, a testament to the dedication of its teams and the consistent experience delivered to customers across the country. 

This award highlights New World’s focus on providing a consistently excellent shopping experience. From fresh produce and bakery items to butchery, deli, seafood, and online services, New World teams continue to go above and beyond to meet the needs of New Zealanders. 

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine says: 

“Supermarkets play a central role in the lives of most Kiwis. Although there are not many contenders in this category, the battle between them remains fierce. Woolworths competed with New World and PAK’nSAVE, and in this hyper-competitive category, the winner – with four quarterly wins and an average satisfaction score of 83.1% – is New World. New World has been leading this sector since September 2022. Amazingly, they have managed to maintain their satisfaction score above 80% while others have dropped back into the 70% range.”

The Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction ratings are drawn from Roy Morgan’s Single Source survey of around 7,000 New Zealanders each year. The awards reflect the opinions of thousands of New Zealanders who share their experiences of the supermarkets they visit most.
